Utah Utes
Last time out, Utah hosted the Stanford Cardinal and easily won 42-7. Stanford led 7-0 after the first quarter, but Utah scored the final 42 points to cruise to the win. The Utes are not going to make the playoffs, but they have a good shot at making sure no other Pac-12 team makes it either.
Two Utah passers combined to go 21/34 for 235 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception. Tavion Thomas ran the ball 22 times for 180 yards, an 8.2 average, and two touchdowns in the win. Defensively, Utah allowed 177 total yards and did not force any Stanford turnovers.
Through 10 games, Utah is scoring 39.5 points per game and gaining 462.4 yards, 252.3 through the air and 210.1 on the ground. Defensively, the Utes allow 20.0 points and 327.9 yards, 206.5 passing and 121.4 rushing.
Oregon Ducks
Oregon hosted #25 Washington and suffered a back breaking 37-34 defeat. This was the best game of the weekend that saw Washington lead 7-3 after the first quarter and 13-10 at the half. The third quarter saw 35 points scored and Oregon take the 31-27 lead heading into the fourth quarter. Oregon led 34-27 with under four minutes to go, but Washington tied the game up with just over three minutes left. Dan Lanning made an inexcusable call to go for it on 4th and 1 in Oregon’s own territory and the Huskies snuffed it out and made the stop. Washington hit the game winning field goal thanks to this decision.
Bo Nix got hurt, but did finish 19/27 for 280 yards, two touchdowns, zero interceptions, and added one touchdown on the ground. Two Ducks combined to run the ball 39 times for 251 yards and one touchdown in the loss. Defensively, Oregon allowed 522 total yards and forced one Washington interception.
After 10 games, Oregon is scoring 42.2 points per game and gaining 527.7 yards, 288.4 through the air and 239.3 on the ground. Defensively, the Ducks allow 27.4 points and 397.9 yards, 289.7 passing and 108.2 rushing.
