Last time out, UCH hosted #20 Cincinnati and earned a late 25-21 win. This was an ugly game that had an exciting ending as UCF led 10-0 after the first quarter and 10-6 at the half. Cincinnati took their first led late in the third quarter, 13-12, but UCF scored late in the fourth to make it 18-13. The Bearcats needed just 90 seconds to respond and retake the lead, but UCF got the last laugh as they scored the game-winning touchdown with 48 seconds left. UCF ran the ball 52 times for 258 yards, a 5.0 average, and three touchdowns in the win. Defensively, the Knights allowed 333 total yards and did not force any Cincy turnovers.
Memphis visited #25 Tulane and left with a 38-28 defeat. Tulane looked to running away with this one, as they led 21-0 after the first and 35-0 at the second, but Memphis came out of the half firing. The Tigers made it a 10-point game late, but it was too little too late as their comeback fell short. Seth Henigan went 26/41 for 312 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions in on the night. Eddie Lewis caught three passes for 94 yards and two touchdowns in the loss. Defensively, Memphis allowed 344 total yards and did not force any Tulane turnovers.
