Georgia vs Missouri Prediction
Last time out, Georgia hosted Kent State and had to work for a 39-22 win. Georgia led 12-3 after the first quarter and 26-13 at the half. It was just a 10-point game early in the fourth quarter, but the UGA defense shut down Kent State and the offense added some insurance. Brock Bowers, the best tight end in the nation, ran the ball two times for 77 yards, a 38.5 average, and two touchdowns on the day. Defensively, the Bulldogs allowed 281 total yards and forced one Kent State interception.
All the action in this game was in the first half when Auburn jumped out to a 14-0 first quarter lead, but Missouri rallied in the second to tie it at 14 at halftime. Overtime saw a wild ending that ultimately ended with an Auburn win after hitting a field goal in the first OT possession. It looked like Missouri was going to answer the Auburn field goal with a game-winning touchdown, but Nathaniel Peat fumbled the ball when reaching for the goal line and it was recovered by Auburn for the win. Cody Schrader and Brady Cook combined to run the ball 17 times for 28 and two touchdowns in the loss. Defensively, Missouri allowed 217 total yards and did not force any Auburn turnovers.
Series History: UGA has won eight consecutive meetings and lead the all-time series 10-1.
