Week 3 of NFL action concludes on Monday Night with the New York Giants hosting the Dallas Cowboys. In what is at least somewhat shocking early season occurrence, the Giants are one of just three teams that can claim the undefeated moniker at this moment. A win on Monday night would see them join only the Eagles and Dolphins at 3-0. The 1-1 Cowboys will once again be starting Cooper Rush at quarterback, and the team will look to tread water until Dak Prescott returns, likely in Week 5. Despite the difference in early season results, the Giants are set as a just a one point favorite.
The Giants have done what they are supposed to do, but have had a softer batch of early season opponents. Their wins over the Titans and Panthers have come by a combined four points. The Cowboys offense was not ready for regular season games in Week 1, getting trounced by the Buccaneers. They bounced back with a surprise win over the Bengals last week.
We will have you covered for player props on all of the prime time games this season.
Michael Gallup Prop Bet
The Cowboys will have Michael Gallup available for the first time this season. He will be welcomed with open arms as this wide receiving corps has not remotely been what we expected in the offseason. Ceedee Lamb needs help from a true perimeter threat, and that is precisely what Gallup is. Noah Brown has filled in as the second wide receiver thus far. Brown has turned 14 targets to nine catches for 159 yards and a touchdown through two games, a surprising level of production form the given player. Gallup will walk immediately into that role, commanding that same volume and being a player that gains chunk yardage.
It simply cannot be understated how important Gallup will be to this offense’s success this season. The team inexplicably moved on from Amari Cooper this offseason. They also drafted Jalen Tolbert, who they have deemed to not be NFL ready. He is yet to be active on game day.
Gallup will walk into his largest role of any season to date, and has been previously produced. His receiving yardage prop for this game is set very low, at just 29.5 yards. To find the last game in which Gallup played and did not have at least 30 receiving yards, we would have to go all the way back to 2020. In fact, since his rookie season, Gallup has had at least 30 receiving yards in 32 of 39 games. That includes 30 of 35 games in which he saw at least five targets. The target volume part is key, as he has a long track record of receiving ample opportunity, particularly when we are discussing a precipice as low as 29.5 receiving yards. Take the Gallup Over.
Betting Pick: Michael Gallup Over 29.5 Receiving Yards
AUTHOR’S NOTE: Late news is stating that Gallup is more likely to be inactive than active. If that is the case, the pivot would be to Noah Brown Over 41.5 receiving yards.
