The Detroit Lions and New York Giants are coming into Week 11 off of wins last week. They will face each other on Sunday, with the Giants looking to move a step closer to playoff qualification and the Lions simply looking to keep moving in the right direction. In our NFL betting predictions for Week 11, we break down Lions vs Giants from a betting perspective.
Lions vs Giants Betting Pick
This game will be played at MetLife Stadium at 1:00 PM ET on Sunday, November 20, 2022.
Why Bet The Giants:
✅ Even if they won last week, the Lions still have the worst scoring defense in the NFL. They have allowed 29.3 points per game, and just gave up 30 points to a Bears team that struggles to pass the ball. Against a Giants team that is effective running the ball, the Lions will continue to fail to get stops.
✅ New York is 4-1 at home so far this season, with their lone home loss coming against the fearsome Cowboys defense. All but one of their home wins has come by four or more points, and the Giants should get another win by that margin here.
✅ After covering against the Texans last week, the Giants are 7-2 against the spread. That is tied with the Tennessee Titans for the best mark against the spread this season in the NFL.

Detroit Lions
The Detroit Lions won a high-scoring game against the Chicago Bears last week. While the Lions defense continued to struggle, their offense made up for it with three fourth quarter touchdowns to win the game. Now, the Lions head to New York to play their second straight road game, one where their defense has to make some plays.
Even if they do not get stops consistently, the Lions will need to make a big play or two like they did against the Bears. Jeff Okudah ran a Justin Fields interception back for a touchdown in the fourth quarter for the Lions, which helped them turn the game around once and for all. Even if they give up points as expected, a few plays like that would be difference makers.
New York Giants
For the New York Giants, this game represents a golden opportunity. They beat the Houston Texans last week to move to 7-2 and move into second place in the NFC East. Here, they have a chance to go to 8-2 before they face the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving day, and they face a struggling Lions defense in their attempt to get there.
Running the ball will, of course, be the key to New York’s offensive success. They rank third in the league in rushing yards per game, while the Lions rank 31st in the league in rushing yards per game allowed. If the Giants can take advantage of that huge mismatch, they should get to 8-2 before their holiday showcase against the Cowboys.
