Teams Last 10
This game will be played at MetLife Stadium at 8:15 PM ET on Monday, September 26, 2022.
Why Bet The Giants:
✅ Believe it or not, the Giants are the better team coming into this matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. The Giants are gaining nearly a half-yard per play more than the Cowboys so far this year, even if the Giants haven’t been all that effective offensively in their own right. At home here, the Giants will continue to be superior to the Cowboys offensively en route to a third straight win.
✅ Dallas has the second-worst scoring offense in the NFL this season, averaging just 11.5 points per game. Only the Indianapolis Colts have averaged fewer points per game on the season so far, and Dallas is set to struggle again offensively this week.
✅ Dallas beat the Bengals last week, which is an impressive win on paper. However, the Bengals have been terrible through two weeks, allowing 13 sacks in two games. That win is nowhere near as impressive as it sounds, which makes this a good opportunity to sell high on the Cowboys as they play a Giants team that might be better than Cincinnati.
Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys played their first two games of this season at home, splitting those contests. They were beaten in Week 1 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but followed that up with a dramatic win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Cooper Rush took over as quarterback in Dallas for Week 2, and managed to get his second straight win as a starter dating back to last season, and he will be tested again this week against the Giants.
Rush was decent against the Bengals, throwing for 235 yards and a touchdown with no interceptions. But the running game for the Cowboys has really struggled so far this season, rushing for just 107 yards as a team in Week 2. Against the Giants, the running game will be important to allow the Cowboys to be less predictable in third down situations.
New York Giants
The New York Giants improved to a surprising 2-0 on the season when they beat the Carolina Panthers at home in Week 2. After going down 13-6 in the third quarter, the Giants scored 13 of the final 16 points of the game, including a game-winning field goal from Graham Gano in the final minutes of the game. This week, the Giants will look to continue to win the turnover battle against the Cowboys after going +2 in turnovers against the Panthers last week.
For the Giants, the key to this game is going to be no longer settling for field goals in the red zone. New York had multiple sudden change scoring opportunities against Carolina, but could not convert them into touchdowns. Against a solid Cowboys team, failure to convert scoring chances into touchdowns could cost them their unbeaten record early in the season.
