Why Bet The Eagles:
✅ On the starting quarterback front, Jalen Hurts is expected to start for the Eagles in this game after missing the Eagles’ last contest before the bye due to injury. Philadelphia had been playing well offensively with Hurts prior to his injury, letting him run a lot of read option plays with great success. Here, the Eagles should be able to pick back up on that.
✅ Washington’s quarterback situation had a wrench thrown in it last week when Taylor Heinicke had to leave the game against the Cowboys with an injury. He is expected to play this week, but will not be at 100%, which should negatively impact the Washington Football Team offense in this division matchup.

✅ Over the last three weeks, the Washington Football Team is averaging just 4.4 yards per play on offense. That puts them in a tie with the New York Giants and New York Jets over that span, with only the Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans performing worse on offense over the last three weeks of NFL action.
Washington Football Team
Washington had a four-game winning streak snapped last week when they fell to the Dallas Cowboys in convincing fashion. Dallas dominated the first half of that game, doing enough to render any comeback attempt by the Football Team to be insufficient. And to make matters worse, Washington was forced to pull Taylor Heinicke from that game due to an injury sustained on a hit from the Cowboys’ defense.
Heinicke is expected to play this week, though more will be known as he goes through medical tests early in the week. With or without Heinicke, the Football Team will need to do a better job of protecting the quarterback than they did against the Cowboys.
Philadelphia Eagles
Philadelphia has won three of its last four games, but will come into this matchup with Washington off of its bye. That bye could not have come at a better time for the Eagles, who were dealing with an injury to Jalen Hurts that saw him miss their last game two weeks ago against the Jets. Now, with Hurts expected to play in Week 15, the Eagles will simply hope that he is able to go at close to 100%.
Hurts being back on the field makes the Eagles so much more dangerous offensively, even if Gardner Minshew performed admirably in relief against the New York Jets. Hurts’ ability to both run the ball and throw it forces defenses to focus on him in multiple ways, which should make things easier on his skill position players.
