One of the best rivalries in the NFL has always been the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles. And though this rivalry has been lopsided for the majority of the last few years, the nearly eliminated Giants will still look to play with pride against their rivals this weekend. In our NFL betting picks for this weekend, we look at Giants vs Eagles and determine whether or not New York can pose a threat to Philadelphia.

Giants vs Eagles Betting Pick
This game will be played at Lincoln Financial Field at 1:00 PM ET on Sunday, December 26, 2021.
Why Bet The Eagles:
✅ The Giants are shutting down Daniel Jones for the rest of the season, which means that Mike Glennon is taking over at quarterback the rest of the way. Glennon is, to put it nicely, terrible at playing quarterback in the NFL. Philadelphia should only need to score 21 points or so in order to cover this double-digit spread.
✅ Mike Glennon has averaged 5.2 yards per pass attempt during his appearances for the Giants this season. To put into context how bad that is, Jacoby Brissett, Trevor Lawrence, Zach Wilson and Davis Mills have all done better. Even Giants receiver Kadarius Toney is averaging 6.3 yards per attempt on his three passes this season. Glennon doesn’t belong on an NFL field.

✅ Defensively, the Eagles are a top-10 team in the NFL in terms of yards per play allowed. They will continue to improve in that department against a Giants team that will not be expected to move the ball very much from start to finish here.
New York Giants
The New York Giants lost their third straight game last week, getting crushed at home by the Dallas Cowboys. The offense of the Giants was listless again with Mike Glennon at quarterback, with Jake Fromm taking over for the final minutes only to fail to get into the end zone as well. This week, the Giants are set to take on an Eagles team that still has something to play for, and will be looking to bury the incompetent Giants offense.
The move to shut down Daniel Jones for the season is a strategic one by the Giants, as they will hope to get him healthy for next season while simultaneously hoping not to hurt their draft positioning by accidentally winning a game the rest of this season. Whether or not that strategy pans out remains to be seen, but at 4-10 it is seemingly worth a shot.
Philadelphia Eagles
The Philadelphia Eagles will come into this matchup with the Giants on a short week, having played on Tuesday night against the Washington Football Team. Just how much that short a week will impact the Eagles remains to be seen, as it will undeniably be tough for them to play two games in that short a span. But the Eagles couldn’t have asked for a better opponent to play against in the second matchup in five days.
Against a Giants team that lacks toughness across the board, any sort of respectable performance from the Eagles should be enough to get the job done. As long as Jalen Hurts is healthy coming out of Week 15 against Washington, the Eagles will be heavy favorites to dominate the Giants from start to finish.
