Another NFL island game and yet another one with real playoff implications on both sides. Starting with the Browns. They are dead last in the AFC North, but the AFC North is not like other divisions. It is one of just two divisions in the league where every team is at least .500. What’s more, the Browns trail the division leading Bengals by just a single game. The AFC North and potentially one AFC Wild Card slot will go to whichever team in the division is able to be hot through season’s final three weeks.
The Packers have a bit more comfort than the Browns. They have already clinched the NFC North and will be in the playoffs. The Packers are now looking to secure the 1 seed and home field advantage throughout the playoffs. All of the Cowboys, Cardinals, Rams and Bucs are within one game, so the Packers are not able to take their foot off the gas. This is another race that will be decided over the season’s final three games.

Why Bet The Over
✅ These two teams have been playing wildly different types of games. The Browns have been injured and without copious key players. They have been playing slower and lower scoring games fairly consistently. However the majority of those have come at home, and their defense has been more apt to have hiccups on the road. The Packers on the other hand have now played four straight shootout games. The quality of the opposing offense has not been a factor in the least, as the last two quarterbacks they have faced have been Justin Fields and Tyler Huntley.
✅ The Packers offense has been great and their defense has been nearly as inept as the offense has been good. They have now played four straight games in which the scoreboard read at least 61 points at the end. Even against a still not fully healthy Browns team, they are once again going to give up a score in the 20s. Their offense will have no issue with that outcome, as they have scored 31 or more in four straight. They are averaging 37.8 points per game in that span.
Browns Wilt Against The Elite
✅ The hiccups on defense for the Browns have all came against quality teams, and three of the four times it has happened on the road. When I say hiccup, I mean allowing their opponent to score 33 or more. That has happened against the Chiefs, Chargers, Cardinals and Patriots. There is a trend here. With the exception of the eight win Chargers, those are the only teams the Browns have played with nine or more wins. It is truly a Jekyll and Hyde situation. The other 10 games saw the Browns hold opponents to 22 or fewer each time. Only two opponents were able to score in the low 20s. Look for the Pack to keep that streak going and set the higher scoring pace.
