Packers vs Bears caps off the Sunday slate of games for Week 2. Both teams will strive to look better than they did in Week 1, particularly the Packers.
The Bears started 1-0 with a home win over the 49ers last week. That game was played in a monsoon and on a soaked field, so we don’t know just how ugly the offense is or is not. Speaking of ugly, the Packers had the stone worst Week 1 performance. They managed just seven points in an ugly loss to the Vikings.
The Packers are set as a 9.5 point favorite, as the oddsmakers believe they will bounce back.
We will have you covered for player props on all of the prime time games this season.
AJ Dillon Prop Bet
AJ Dillon was the lone bright spot for the Packers offense last week. He dominated running back carries, getting 67% and that approach makes sense. Aaron Jones will likely continue to be utilized more in the receiving game. That leaves the large and powerful Dillon to do the dirty work on the ground.
Dillon notched 45 yards on 10 carries last week. The negative game script worked against any rushing volume as the Packers trailed throughout. The betting line suggests a much more favorable script for the Packers this week. The matchup is a good one and we could easily see over five yards per carry from Dillon this week.
The Bears gave up 63 yards on just 15 running back carries last week. They also allowed another 54 yards on the ground to Trey Lance. What is particularly alarming is that soaked field probably made the rushing output against them smaller than it otherwise would have been.
Dillon will likely be the highlight for the Packers once more. With his rushing prop set at just 50.5 yards, I think the over is the easy play for this game. It would be far from shocking to see just a handful of big runs hit his over in the first half.
Betting Pick: AJ Dillon Over 50.5 Yards Rushing
