UFC Vegas 47
UFC Vegas 47 comes our way this Saturday February 5th. The 13 fight card kicks off at 4PM EST. Each fighter will make the walk live from the Apex in Las Vegas.
We have had an odd early year schedule. On the heels of a week off after UFC 270, and get back to the action this week. We have this Fight Night card this week leading into UFC 271 next week.

Before diving into this card, we should take a look back at UFC 270 from a couple of weeks ago. That was yet another winning card. Our betting picks went 3-1 with an additional pick on a cancelled fight. We started the night with a dominant win on a flat bet on Tony Gravely. We then moved onto our one loss, where Victor Henry shocked the world and was game enough to outduel Raoni Barcelos in a super exciting fight. It was all gravy from there as we cashed on two underdogs late in the card. Both Deiveson Figueiredo and Francis Ngannou won their title fights. Those plus figure cashes on a 3-1 night made it a great one.
UFC Vegas 47 brings us a decent Fight Night card. The main event is a solid one, that will propel either Sean Strickland or Jack Hermansson a step closer to a middleweight title shot. Sean Strickland is rightfully favored, and we will have more on that later, as there is a betting pick on this fight.
Fight Card
The remainder of the card completely lacks star power, but does have some very nicely made fights. Putting Puna Soriano in a co-main event slot coming off a loss is a great move by the promotion. He has a very high ceiling and it is smart to put him in the spotlight in his matchup with Nick Maximov. We also get an amazingly well made fight leading into that one as Shavkat Rhakmonov takes on Carlston Harris. That is going to be a very fun fight that will tell us more about these fighters that have found early success in the promotion.
Also on the main card, we have what was supposed to be the Ultimate Fighter finale. Tresean Gore takes on Bryan Battle in a fight that had to be rescheduled when Gore was injured. We will have a betting pick on this fight.

The prelims are also going to be exciting. We get Phil Rowe taking a small step up, and he is a fun finisher that is fighting an opponent that can be finished. We will also see a trio of debuts from fighters that will certainly have UFC wins. Those fighters are Chidi Njokuani, Jailton Almeida and Denys Bondar. I expect all three of these fighters to book wins in their respective debuts, and we should get some fun fight time from there.
That brings us to the betting plays and official picks for this card. We will have four betting picks in total for UFC Vegas 47, let’s get to them.
