San Diego State Aztecs at #18 BYU Cougars (-16.5): O/U 48.5 (-106/-114)
Last time out, San Diego State hosted the Colorado State Rams and won a 29-17 win. San Diego State led by double-digits most of this game and were never really threatened by Colorado State in this one. QB Jordan Brookshire went 14/24 for 130 yards, one touchdown, zero interceptions, and led the team in rushing with 38 yards. San Diego State had a 93-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and five Matt Araiza field goals to get the win. Defensively, the Aztecs allowed just 265 total yards and forced two Colorado State interceptions.
Then #13 BYU visited undefeated #18 Coastal Carolina, on just two days’ notice and suffered their first defeat of the season, 22-17. BYU led 17-13 midway through the third quarter, but Coastal scored the final nine points of the game to get the biggest win in program history. QB Zach Wilson went 19/30 for 240 yards, one touchdown, one interception, and 55 rushing yards. Tyler Allgeier had 106 rushing yards and one touchdown on 13 carries, and Sax Milne hauled in six receptions for 106 yards and one touchdown. Defensively, the Cougars allowed 366 total yards and recovered one Chanticleers fumble.
Series History: SDSU won the last meeting, back in 2019, but BYU still leads the all-time series 28-8-1.
CFB Predictions: I like BYU to rebound in a big way. Give me the Cougars -16.5 Saturday night.
