Why Bet On Michigan State:
✅ Michigan State just beat Maryland by double figures on its home court to finish the regular season with a victory. At a neutral site in the midwest, where fan support will favor the Spartans, expect Michigan State to post a similar result in this conference tournament matchup between these two teams.
✅ The Spartans are slightly better on both ends of the floor, sporting superior numbers on the offensive and defensive ends. They will use those edges to their advantage here, as they should be able to keep the Terrapins at arms length for most of this game en route to a meeting with Wisconsin on Friday.

✅ Michigan State is a much better three-point shooting team, which will make a difference in this matchup. The Spartans shoot the three at a 38.4% clip, compared to just 32.7% for the Terrapins. Being able to hit threes gives an offense such an advantage in today’s game, and the Spartans should be able to utilize that edge to come away with a win here.
Maryland Terrapins
The Maryland Terrapins got a chance to scout their opponent in the second round of the Big Ten tournament first hand over the weekend. They finished their regular season against this same Michigan State team and lost that game 77-67 on the road. Here, the Terrapins will look for a different result, as they look for a more efficient offensive performance.
In that loss to Michigan State, the Terrapins shot just 27.6% from three-point range, a decline from their already low season average. They were also outrebounded 39-30 against the Spartans, two numbers that they will need to change if they want to advance to face the Badgers on Friday.
Michigan State Spartans
Michigan State picked up a win over Maryland in its final regular season game, and will look for similar success against the Terrapins here. Outside of that Maryland game, though, the Spartans had been playing poorly just before the conference tournament. They had lost three of their final five regular season games, with all of those losses coming on the road.
In their last meeting with Maryland, Michigan State had an efficient offensive performance. They shot 47% from the field and managed to make 38.9% of their three-point attempts. If they can sustain those numbers, or at least come close to them, they should be able to pick up another win over the Terps here.
