Hamilton Tiger-Cats at British Columbia Lions Betting Preview
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats come into this one off their first win of the season and are going to have to be at the top of their game if they want to keep this one close. The Lions are coming off a bye week after suffering their first loss of the season. British Columbia was a bit banged up after the game with Winnipeg, so the bye came at an ideal time for the Lions.
Hamilton’s Dane Evans has thrown for 1,423 yards and seven touchdowns, but has also been picked off eight times. He leads the team with 75 rushing yards, as the Tiger-Cats have been the worst rushing team in the CFL, averaging just 64.6 yards per game. It doesn’t figure to be easy against a British Columbia team that is allowing 81 yards per game.
The Lions have Nathan Rourke, who has throw for 12 TDs already this season and have a ground game that is averaging 129.2 yards per game, which is tops in the league. The Tiger-Cats are decent against the run, allowing 4.3 yards per carry, which is No. 2 in the CFL.

Tiger-Cats vs. Lions Pick & Prediction
Hamilton is clearly the better team but asking British Columbia to win by more than a touchdown could be a tall order. Home favorites of 7 or more points are just 2-2 straight-up and 0-4 against the spread this season. The Tiger-Cats have been blown out twice on the road already this season and if there is a team that can pile on the points, it’s the Lions.
Hamilton usually starts off strong, as the Tiger-Cats have led at the half in four of their five games, but the ‘Cats haven’t been able to put it together for a full game, although that could change this week.
