Montreal Alouettes vs Saskatchewan Roughriders Betting Preview
The Alouettes crushed the Roughriders a week ago, returning the opening kickoff for a touchdown and never looking back. Montreal led 23-3 at halftime and cruised to a 37-13 victory for their first win of the season.
Vernon Adams missed the game for the Alouettes, who are starting to find themselves in a quarterback controversy, as veteran Trevor Harris played well. He replaced Adams in the Week 2 loss to Toronto. With Adams back after a bout with COVID, Montreal coach Kahri Jones hasn’t named a starter for the game, but you can expect to see both quarterbacks on the field at some point.
Montreal started the season with a couple of tough losses before last week’s blowout win and they’ll to build on that win, although it won’t be easy to steal one on the road in Saskatchewan.
The Roughriders opened the season with victories against Hamilton and Edmonton and last week’s score was a bit misleading compared to the stats, as Montreal outgained Saskatchewan by five yards. In addition to returning a kickoff for a touchdown, the Alouettes also intercepted three passes.

Montreal Alouettes vs Saskatchewan Roughriders Pick & Prediction
Normally this would be a good spot for the Roughriders, coming back in a quick revenge game, but they’ll be without Shaq Evans, who fractured an ankle in last week’s game and center Dan Clarke is probably done for the season. Saskatchewan is still 2-1 on the season, so this one probably has a bit more urgency for Montreal.
The Alouettes could easily be 2-1 or 3-0 but came up a play or two short in each of their first two games, before finally putting things together last week. Believe Montreal can keep it close.
