Edmonton Elks vs Hamilton Tiger-Cats Betting Preview
A pair of winless teams do battle in Hamilton when the Elks visit the Tigers Cats in a Canada Day contest. The pressure is on both quarterbacks, with Hamilton’s Dane Evans throwing four touchdown passes against six interceptions, while Edmonton’s Nick Arbuckle has two TD passes and has been picked off six times.
Neither team has done much on the ground this season, in part due to being behind and forced to throw the ball. James Wilder leads the Elks with 124 yards through three games. Sean Thomas Erlington leads the Tiger-Cats with 47 rushing yards.
If Hamilton is going to have success on the ground it could come this week, as Edmonton ranks last in the league in rushing defense, allowing 162 yards and 6.0 yards per carry. The Elks haven’t fared much better on defense, allowing 80.7% completions and 10.2 yards per pass attempt, both last in the CFL.
Hamilton’s rushing defense hasn’t been bad, allowing 75.7 yards per game and 3.7 yards per attempt, but they do allow 308.7 passing yards per game.

Edmonton Elks vs Hamilton Tiger-Cats Pick & Prediction
Neither team can really afford to lose this one and drop to 0-4 on the season, so there’s a bit more pressure on the Tiger-Cats to get the home victory. CFL favorites who come into a game off three straight losses have been decent bets over the past 15 years, going 46-30 ATS.
Hamilton’s defense was second best in the league last season but they haven’t come close to duplicating that performance yet this season. Playing at home should be a good boost for the Tiger-Cats, who lost both away games by at least 14 points and lost their lone home game so far by three to a pretty good Calgary team.
