Browns vs Bengals Betting Pick
This game will be played at Paul Brown Stadium at 1:00 PM ET on Sunday, November 7, 2021.
Why Bet The Bengals:
✅ So far this season, the Cleveland Browns have been dismal on the road, with their lone road win coming in Minnesota against the Vikings. As the Vikings showed in Week 8 against the Cowboys, they have a ton of flaws and are not the most impressive win. Cleveland’s issues on the road will derail them once again in this game.
✅ The point differential for these two teams is very telling, even after the Bengals suffered an embarrassing loss this past week to the New York Jets. Cincinnati has the second best point differential in the AFC this season at +58, trailing the Buffalo Bills in that department. Cleveland, meanwhile, has a point differential of +3 and is clearly a middle of the pack squad this season.

✅ It was entirely possible that the Bengals were looking ahead to this game when they blew an easy opportunity to pick up a win last week against the Jets. Cincinnati was an 11-point favorite against the Jets, but faltered, especially on the defensive side of the ball. This week, the Bengals will come out sharper in a game that means more to their season.
Cleveland Browns
The Cleveland Browns suffered a disappointing loss last week, dropping a low-scoring contest at home to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Cleveland had several opportunities to win the game, but could not breach the defense of the Steelers beyond a touchdown and a field goal. This week, the Browns will face another talented defense, and will look for better results on the road against the Bengals.
The problem for Cleveland offensively has been their passing attack, as it has not kept up with the high standards of the team’s running game. Baker Mayfield is dealing with an injury to his non-throwing shoulder, but that can’t be a justification for Mayfield’s inability to throw a touchdown pass last week against the Steelers. He simply must be better to help the Browns take advantage of their window of opportunity.
Cincinnati Bengals
If the Browns’ loss to the Steelers last week was bad, then the Bengals’ loss to the New York Jets was downright embarrassing. Cincinnati let Mike White, the backup to the injured Zach Wilson, engineer scoring drive after scoring drive against their defense. As a result, the Bengals gave away a game they were double digit favorites in, and harmed their playoff hopes in the AFC.
This week, the defense of the Bengals will have to be better, especially against the run. Cleveland is known for attacking teams on the ground, and the Bengals will have to be ready for that and stand up to the pressure that the Browns running game can put on a defense.
