Storm vs Lynx Betting Pick
This game will be played at Target Center at 9:00 PM ET on Tuesday, June 14, 2022.
In a game featuring two teams going in very different directions in the WNBA, the Minnesota Lynx will host the Seattle Storm on Tuesday night. The Storm appear to be rounding into form, while the Lynx are falling apart, but anything can happen when these two franchises meet up at Target Center. In our WNBA predictions for tonight, we look at Storm vs Lynx as Seattle comes in as a road favorite.
Why Bet The Storm:
✅ The Minnesota Lynx are falling apart at the seams at this point in the season. They have the league’s worst record but, more importantly, are without all-time great Sylvia Fowles. Fowles had been the league’s leading rebounder this season and the only player averaging over 10 boards per game. Without here, the Lynx are going to have a rough time against the Storm’s interior players.
✅ Seattle has won three straight games, and finally appear to be healthy as a team after facing a rash of COVID absences early in the season. They finally have a full rotation of bigs to rely on, and Breanna Stewart is leading the league in scoring. Seattle is going to continue to play at a high level here, which is too much for the Lynx to deal with.
✅ Minnesota is 1-5 at home this season, and are not in a position to improve on that mark given their injury woes. Without a real advantage at home, the Lynx are going to fold against the superior talent of the Storm and this game could get ugly.

Seattle Storm
The Seattle Storm did a nice job of grinding out two road wins over the weekend against the Dallas Wings. Dallas’ offense is one of the toughest to stop in the WNBA, but the Storm did what they needed to do in order to come away with two straight road wins against Arike Ogunbowale and company. Now, the Storm will look to keep themselves rolling in the right direction against a much easier to stop Minnesota team.
For the Storm, health is the key to their recent success, as the Storm now have their lineup in order both with their starters and their bench unit. Having two bigs who can make plays in Ezi Magbegor and Mercedes Russell was not a luxury the Storm had early in the season, but both are back healthy and able to contribute in different roles. And with Breanna Stewart playing some of the best basketball of her career, the Storm look dangerous once again out West.
Minnesota Lynx
The Minnesota Lynx have lost three straight games and sit at the bottom of the WNBA standings. Their most recent loss came at home against the Indiana Fever, a demoralizing defeat given the Fever’s status in the league in recent years. Minnesota will look to turn things around against Seattle on Tuesday night, but it will not be easy given the loss of their leader in Sylvia Fowles.
With Fowles out, the Lynx lose so much physicality on both ends of the floor. They have to rely more on a relatively weak guard group offensively, while it is harder for them to rebound the basketball and block shots. Against such an aggressive Seattle team, this could be a game where the loss of Fowles is especially damaging.
