Wings vs Storm Betting Pick
This game will be played at Climate Pledge Arena at 3:00 PM ET on Tuesday, July 12, 2022.
The Dallas Wings and Seattle Storm are set to meet for a fourth time this WNBA season on Tuesday afternoon. In the first game back from the All-Star break, both teams will look to pick up a win here to improve their playoff positioning. In our WNBA picks for Tuesday, we take a look at Wings vs Storm in what has been a competitive season series so far.
Why Bet The Wings:
✅ The Wings have lost two of their three meetings with the Seattle Storm so far this year. But they have kept the losses close, with the Storm winning by no more than five points against Dallas this season. Dallas has given the Storm all kinds of problems over the last couple of years, and should be able to push them again here.
✅ Dallas has played a much tougher schedule so far this season than the Storm. Per their Massey ratings, the Storm have played the softest schedule in the WNBA so far. Dallas, meanwhile, has played the third toughest schedule in the league thus far. The Wings will keep things competitive, as they are used to playing against the best the WNBA has to offer.

✅ From a matchup perspective, the Wings have the ability to score from the perimeter with the Storm. Arike Ogunbowale and Marina Mabrey helped the Wings to pick up a win over the Connecticut Sun before the All-Star break. Expect them to do something similar here, as this contest should go down to the wire.
Dallas Wings
The Dallas Wings come out of the All-Star break in eighth place in the WNBA standings. They occupy the final playoff spot going into Tuesday’s action, where they will look to help themselves with a win over the Seattle Storm. Dallas has already beat the Storm in Seattle this season, but the Storm are a healthier team than they were going into that game.
For Dallas, the ability to score from the perimeter is going to be huge against Seattle this time around. With Tina Charles joining Ezi Magbegor in the Storm frontcourt, Dallas is going to need to score from the outside to make up for the difficulty of scoring from the inside. Fortunately, they have the guards to do that, with the question being if they can shoot it well enough to keep this game close.
Seattle Storm
The Seattle Storm got off to a good start in the first half of the WNBA season. They enter the second half in third place in the league standings, and have a great chance to secure a home playoff series. Here, they open their second half with sky-high expectations against a Wings team that the Storm hope to bully with their size.
The biggest weakness for the Wings is their interior play, which could be exploited by the duo of Magbegor and Charles. Combine them with Breanna Stewart’s ability to score from the mid-range and and the outside, and the Storm will have to like their chances offensively against the Wings on Tuesday afternoon.
