The teams in Group C get their 2022 World Cup underway and it all starts with one of the tournament favorites, Argentina, playing against one of the long shots of the tournament, Saudi Arabia. Argentina enters the World Cup as second favorites, at +550, and Saudi Arabia as the biggest longshots at +100,000. Below is my World Cup soccer pick for Argentina vs Saudi Arabia.

Why Bet Argentina -2 (+150)
✅ Argentina, in my opinion, has the best overall roster and best player in the tournament and they enter as the hottest team in the world.
✅ Saudi Arabia may be the worst team at the World Cup and will just hope they can lose by one or two goals.
✅ Argentina will want to make sure they win Group C so they can avoid a, likely, Round of 16 matchup with France.

Argentina
Argentina is ready for their 13th consecutive World Cup, and 18th overall, as the ‘White and Sky Blue’ look to lift the trophy for the first time since 1986. The South American squad was unbeaten in CONMEBOL World Cup Qualifying, but still finished in second, six points behind winners Brazil.
This Argentina squad is as impressive as it gets and they are led by the greatest of all-time, Lionel Messi. However, Messi is not the only star on this team as Angel DI Maria, Lautaro Martinez, and Julian Alvarez power a fantastic front line.
The Argentine midfield is led by Papu Gomez, Rodrigo De Paul, and Leandro Paredes, but the real question will be the defense. Nicolas Otamendi, Lisandro Martinez, and Cristian Romero are a good trio, but they will still be the weak point of this Argentina squad. In goal, Aston Villa’s Emil Martinez will be erratic, but effective between the sticks.
Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia is set for their second consecutive World Cup, and sixth overall, as the ‘Green Falcons’ look to get out of the group stage for the second time in team history. This Saudi Arabia team advanced to the World Cup by finishing top of their group in the third round of qualifying.
The entire Saudi team plays their club soccer in the country, and they will be led by Yasser Al-Shahrani in defense and Selem Al-Dawsari up front. Al-Dawsari, the former Villarreal loanee, has scored 17 goals in 71 games for his country.
