The 2026 FIFA World Cup runs from June 11 to July 19, 2026. It is the first 48-team edition, featuring 104 matches across 16 host cities in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The final takes place at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Spain lead the market at +450 (BetMGM), followed by England at +550 and France at +650. Brazil and Argentina sit at +750 and +850 respectively. Portugal (+1100) and Germany (+1400) round out the top tier.
Matches are played across 16 host cities: 11 in the United States (including Los Angeles, New York/New Jersey, Dallas, Miami, and Seattle), 2 in Canada (Toronto and Vancouver), and 2 in Mexico (Mexico City and Guadalajara). Altitude is a genuine betting factor: Mexico City sits at 2,240 metres above sea level.
The expanded 48-team field is divided into 12 groups of four. The top two teams from each group advance automatically to the Round of 32. The eight best third-placed teams also advance, making it possible to finish third in a group and still progress. From the Round of 32 it is a standard single-elimination knockout bracket through to the final.
