Jazz vs Trail Blazers
The mismatch is on in this Western Conference matchup. The Trail Blazers saw their vision and season fall apart at the seams this season. The result is the team accepting they are going nowhere, and they are now in full blown tank mode.
The Jazz still remain near the top of the Western Conference in playoff seeding. They currently possess the fourth seed. Taking the top seed from the Suns is something of a pipe dream, as they sit 11.5 games back. While that particular goal is out of reach, the second seed is not. The Jazz are just 3.5 games behind the Grizzlies in that race.
This is an absolute mismatch and blow out on paper and by betting line. See below how the game will play out and what the best bet is.
Be sure to continue tailing TJ’s NBA picks. Those sit at a cool 62% on the season.

Why Bet The Jazz
✅ The Jazz have been playing quite well since the beginning of February. They are 10-3 in that stretch and have not had any hiccups against teams not currently seeded for the postseason. The Jazz remain one of the most efficient scoring teams in the league on their home floor. They are second in the league in both gross scoring output and offensive efficiency at home. Additionally they are at full strength with all of their key players available. The same cannot be said for their opponent.
✅ The Trail Blazers have no real option but to tank for the rest of the season in hopes of dropping even further in the standings. Even if they were looking to win games at the moment, it simply would not happen. The roster is simply gutted. CJ McCollum is traded to the Pelicans. Damian Lillard is out at least another three weeks. Jusuf Nurkic is out at least another two weeks. Anfernee Simons and Justice Winslow remain banged up and are likely to miss more games in the short term. They are truly playing a replacement level crew.
✅ The result of the lack of talent on the floor of late has gone precisely as expected. This is a team that simply cannot get stops on defense and has laughable issues with scoring. Since the All Star Break, this team is 0-5 and have been blown out every step of the way. They have failed to clear 95 points in all bit one game while allowing at least 120 in all of them. They have accepted that ugly blow outs will be the result for the remainder of the season. Generally speaking, laying 17 points in an NBA game is not something I do, but the Blazers are a team I’m happy to attack in that scenario.
