Knicks vs Nets Betting Pick
This game will be played at Barclays Center at 7:30 PM ET on Tuesday, November 30, 2021.
Why Bet The Nets:
✅ The New York Knicks are a mess right now. They have taken Kemba Walker out of their rotation at point guard, they could be without Derrick Rose, RJ Barrett, Nerlens Noel and Taj Gibson for this game, and they are experimenting with Alec Burks as their starting point guard. All of that turbulence is not going to go well for them against a team like the Brooklyn Nets.
✅ Brooklyn is without a couple of key players in Joe Harris and Nic Claxton, but their issues are significantly less problematic than those of the Knicks. The Nets also have the ultimate trump card in Kevin Durant, who the Knicks simply lack someone with the combination of size and quickness to defend.
✅ Brooklyn went 3-0 against the Knicks last season, despite dealing with injury issues with Kyrie Irving and James Harden last season. The Knicks were in much better shape last year than they are now, and there is no reason to believe that the Nets won’t extend their winning streak over the Knickerbockers to four games.
New York Knicks
The New York Knicks have alternated wins and losses over their last eight games, picking up a win on Saturday against the Atlanta Hawks. But since that game, Knicks coach Tom Thibodeau has promised changes to the team’s rotation, specifically in the form of Kemba Walker retreating to the bench. That change could come at a bad time, as the Knicks will have to adjust on the fly against the top team in the Eastern Conference so far this year.
Alec Burks and Immanuel Quickley will serve as the team’s top two point guards for now, with Derrick Rose battling injury and uncertain to play in the short term. Burks is a solid perimeter shooter, and should be a defensive upgrade over Kemba Walker, as most players would be at this point in time. But Burks doesn’t exactly inspire confidence in a matchup against someone like James Harden in this game.
The Brooklyn Nets had a four-game win streak snapped in their last game, losing at home to the Phoenix Suns. In what was a possible preview of this year’s NBA Finals, the Nets came up just short, but proved that they more than belonged against a team that is currently on a 16-game winning streak. Now, the Nets set their sights on a Knicks team in disarray as they look to get back into the win column.
For the Nets, their two active stars in Harden and Durant may not face much resistance against the Knicks. The Knicks have some serious issues on defense with their starting lineup this season, especially at the point guard spot. While they hope Burks can remedy that somewhat, that turnaround isn’t likely to start with James Harden attacking him.
