Grizzlies vs Celtics Betting Pick
This game will be played at TD Garden at 7:30 PM ET on Thursday, March 3, 2022.
Why Bet The Grizzlies:
✅ The Boston Celtics are set to play this game without one of their top-two stars in Jaylen Brown. Brown suffered an ankle injury earlier this week, and is expected to miss this contest, which will be incredibly detrimental to the performance of the Celtics. Against an explosive Grizzlies side, the Celtics will pay for the lack of Brown in their lineup.
✅ Memphis has the third best scoring average in the NBA this season, averaging 113.9 points per game. They are tough to keep up with on the scoreboard even against a healthy opponent, let alone against a team that is compromised due to injury. Expect the Grizzlies to continue to put up big numbers offensively here, and for the Celtics to lack the firepower to keep up with them.

✅ Memphis is the best road team in the league against the spread this season. They are 23-9 against the spread on the road this year, as they have covered the spread over 70% of the time in the 2021-2022 campaign. They will continue to roll on the road in this game, and cover the spread as a slight favorite.
Memphis Grizzlies
Memphis has won its last two games, beating the San Antonio Spurs and Chicago Bulls in their last two outings. Here, they face a significant road test against the Celtics, as the Grizzlies will look to prove once again that they are for real this season. If they are going to do so, they will need another big game out of Ja Morant.
Morant and the Grizzlies face a Celtics defense that plays with a high level of effort at all times, but may not have the athletes to stay in front of Morant throughout this game. Should Morant continue to get to the basket the way he has throughout this season, he will be able to create for himself and others as usual. As long as he and his teammates can finish the opportunities that he generates so regularly, the Grizzlies should be able to come away with a win here.
Boston Celtics
Boston beat the Atlanta Hawks at home in their last game, getting 33 points out of Jayson Tatum to lead them to victory. Boston only shot 31% from three-point range in that game, but held the Hawks under 25% to help secure the victory. Tonight, the Celtics face a much tougher defensive assignment against a Grizzlies team that is one of the best offensive squads in the NBA.
For the Celtics, the key to this game will be protecting the paint against drives from Ja Morant. If the Celtics can find a way to wall Morant off from the paint, they will make it tougher for him to kick to open shooters, and slow down their entire offense. That is much easier said than done, though, and Boston will need to play at their highest level defensively for all 48 minutes to slow down the Memphis machine.
