Warriors vs Mavericks Betting Pick
This game will be played at American Airlines Center at 7:30 PM ET on Wednesday, January 5, 2022.
Why Bet The Mavericks:
✅ The Golden State Warriors are playing the first game of a back to back here, as they are tasked with going to New Orleans the night after this one. They aren’t going to tank this game or anything, but Steve Kerr is likely to manage the roster so that they aren’t a complete skeleton crew on Thursday night.
✅ Dallas has a few players out in the league’s health and safety protocols, including Kristaps Porzingis. But they have Luka Doncic here, who is going to be a really tough cover for the Warriors. He should be able to outscore Steph Curry in this game, barring an all-time Steph performance.

✅ Dallas has won three straight games coming into this matchup with the Warriors. That is the second longest win streak in the Western Conference at this point in time, and they will extend that streak against the Warriors.
Golden State Warriors
Golden State has won two straight games and five of their last six, as they enter Wednesday night with the best record in the NBA at 29-7. They were not as impressive as they could have been in their last outing, though, as they were in a tight game against the Miami Heat. Miami was without several key players, and Jimmy Butler went down with an injury during the game, but Golden State struggled to put the Heat away.
Here, the Warriors face another tough test against the Mavericks, but they have the benefit of a healthy roster. Klay Thompson is set to return next week, but there aren’t any key contributors set to miss this game aside from him.
Dallas Mavericks
The Dallas Mavericks have won three straight games to move into the sixth spot in the Western Conference standings. Dallas won back to back road games against the Kings and Thunder, then beat the Nuggets at home to get to 19-18 on the year. Here, they will look for a signature win at home against Golden State, which will require an inspired effort on defense.
Defending the perimeter will be the key to this game for the Mavericks. It is obvious that they have to slow down Steph Curry, but the Warriors have plenty of other outside shooters that the Mavs need to be mindful of for all 48 minutes.
