Why Bet The Heat:
✅ The Heat have won three of four games in this series by double digits, making them a deserved favorite coming into this game. Outside of one half of basketball, the Heat have dominated every facet of this series, and they will continue to do so as they will cover the spread and advance to the second round.
✅ Trae Young has really struggled in this series for the Atlanta Hawks. He is 7/33 from three-point range for the series, failing to make even a quarter of his shots from the perimeter. The Heat defense has completely stifled Young, and that is going to continue in what should be the final game of the series.

✅ Miami has the second best defensive rating in the postseason so far, as they have stifled the Hawks from top to bottom. While Young is the focal point of the Hawks offense, the rest of the Hawks have not had an easier time getting quality looks in this series. Atlanta did well to get into the playoffs through the Play-In Tournament, but their season will end tonight.
Atlanta Hawks
The Atlanta Hawks have had a rough postseason so far, getting beat by double digits in three of their four games against the Miami Heat. So far, the Hawks have had a hard time getting good looks at the rim, as the Heat defense has forced them to settle for a lot of perimeter shots. If the Hawks want to stay alive in this series, they are going to need to figure out how to get more in the paint to set up better outside shooting.
Trae Young has the potential to hit shots from long distances, but he has been settling for those shots far too often. Instead of dribbling into 30-foot shots, he will need to threaten the interior defense of the Heat to force defenders out of position. If he can make better decisions, Young could help Atlanta’s season continue to a sixth game.
Miami Heat
As the top seed in the Eastern Conference, the Miami Heat have played well in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. They have won three games by double digits in this series, and had a double digit lead in their lone loss of the playoffs as well. In this game, the Heat will look to continue to play stifling defense to send the Hawks home.
For Miami, the rebounding and rim protection of players like Bam Adebayo has been a difference maker in this series. Adebayo was a contender for the Defensive Player of the Year award this season, and has done a nice job of ending Atlanta possessions as early as possible. If he and the rest of the Heat can continue to wall off the paint, the Heat will advance in five games to a series against either the Raptors or 76ers.
