Hawks vs Heat Game 2 Betting Pick
This game will be played at FTX Arena at 7:30 PM ET on Tuesday, April 19, 2022.
Why Bet The Hawks:
✅ The Miami Heat held Trae Young and Bogdan Bogdanovic to a combined 1/20 shooting from the field in Game 1 of this series. And while the Heat are a very good defensive team, that kind of defensive showing is not sustainable. The Hawks will at least get a respectable performance from their two top scoring threats, and will at least keep this game within single digits.
✅ On the flip side, Duncan Robinson made eight of his nine attempts from three-point range in Game 1, which is also not sustainable for the Heat. Robinson is an elite shooter, but he will not shoot 88% from three in this game, and the Heat will not have quite as explosive an offensive showing as a result of his inevitable regression to the mean.

✅ Atlanta is still adjusting to the loss of Clint Capela, and as time passes they will continue to get better without him available. Capela is out once again for this game, which is certainly not ideal for the Hawks. But they will figure out ways to get offense despite his absence as they have had a couple of extra days to plan for life without him.
Atlanta Hawks
The Atlanta Hawks looked horrible in Game 1 against the Miami Heat, with their star players looking like anything but stars. Trae Young and Bogdan Bogdanovic shot a combined 5% from the field in Game 1, which they absolutely must improve on heading into the second game of this series. While they will be expected to play better, it will be the defense of the Hawks that will need to improve more than anything else.
Atlanta allowed the Heat to make 18 three-point shots in Game 1, including eight from Duncan Robinson on nine attempts. Staying attached to Robinson has to be a top priority for Atlanta when he is on the floor, as his shooting can cause a game to get away from the Hawks in a hurry.
Miami Heat
Things could not have gone better for the Miami Heat in Game 1 against the Atlanta Hawks. They shot over 50% from the field and led by as many as 32 points against a Hawks team that they simply overwhelmed from start to finish. In Game 2, the Heat will look for a similar result, but will know that a 2-0 series lead will not come easily.
Miami’s defense is unlikely to have as much success in Game 2 as in the series opener, as it is a statistical unlikelihood that Young and Bogdanovic combine to shoot so poorly for a second straight game. As a result, Miami will need to take nothing for granted on the defensive end of the floor, and lock in to avoid letting Atlanta gain any confidence before this series shifts back to Atlanta.
