UFC Vegas 38 Betting Preview
UFC Vegas 38 comes at us this Saturday October 2nd at 6PM from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The card brings some real names on it and is the best Fight Night card we will see for some time. This card is going to deliver, and on the heels of UFC 266, which was an all time great one. We are risking being spoiled, but the lower level cards scheduled the upcoming weeks will bring us back down to Earth. For now, we can enjoy what we have in front of us.
Santos vs Walker Main Event Preview
The light heavyweight main event is going to be an absolute banger. Thiago Santos and Johnny Walker are two of the most dangerous strikers in the promotion and we are going to see someone knocked out. The line currently sits at Santos -165 and it is a fair line. Any prediction for this fight should come with an ITD suffix. The fight itself is -500 to end inside the distance and it truly a longshot for this fight to make it to the third round, let alone a full five.
Santos has not been his full self since the dual knee surgeries following the Jon Jones fight. Full disclosure, he is one of my favorite fighters ever to watch, and I am trying to keep any bias out of any prediction. The reality is, at 37 years old, the end may be coming. The explosiveness and power may be waning. It is difficult to say for sure and we will have questions answered on that come Saturday. Johnny Walker is currently the more athletic fighter, and probably brings more early fight danger than Santos. This fight is simply going to be a game of inches. Both finishers will be pressing for another ITD win, and it may well come down to who can get a big shot home first. With that being the case, I am sitting this fight out from a betting perspective and just enjoying it. If you have a read on the fight and want action, take your fighter to win ITD.

UFC Vegas 38 Betting Picks
The rest of the card has well made matchups and some name power. On the gambling side, we will have three wagers. I was inches away from also adding Misha Cirkunov as a play, but have questions as to what his durability and gas tank might be with the drop to middleweight. Let’s get to those UFC Picks.
