Red Sox vs. Rays Betting Pick
This game will be played at Tropicana Field at 7:05 PM ET on Monday, July 11, 2022.
Why Bet The Rays:
✅ The Rays have defeated the Red Sox in four of the six meetings between these teams this season. That includes taking two of the three games in Tampa Bay (April 22-24). Tampa Bay has outscored Boston 26-17 in the six games.
✅ The Red Sox starter Brayan Bello was shelled in his first start of his Major League career. Bello gave up four runs and 4.0 innings, allowing six hits while walking three against the Rays. Tampa Bay clearly looks like they have his scouting report down.

✅ The Rays have not named their starter for this contest, but they have one of the best bullpens in baseball. The Tampa Bay bullpen has a 3.39 ERA, eight overall. The pitching staff is sixth in runs allowed per game at 3.95.
Boston Red Sox
The Red Sox enter this series struggling, going 4-6 in their last 10. That excludes Sunday night’s contest against the New York Yankees. Boston has a solid offense, sixth overall in runs per game (4.72), but has been held to 35 runs scored in the first nine games of July.
Rafael Devers is having an outstanding season for Boston, posting a .327 batting average with 19 home runs and 51 RBI. He also scored 59 runs and has a .977 OPS.
Tampa Bay Rays
The Rays were hammered by Cincinnati on Sunday, 10-5, swept by the Reds in the series. That dropped Tampa Bay 1.0 games behind Boston in the AL wild-card standings. They are 5-5 in their last 10.
Tampa Bay is all about pitching, as they are 23rd in run production (4.16 runs per game) and 23rd in homeruns per contest (0.95). The club is 26th in OPS (.684) and 21st in batting average (.238). Isaac Paredes leads the team in homeruns with 13, but has just 28 RBI.
