Tiger-Cats vs Alouettes Betting Preview
It’s not often a game between a pair of 3-6 teams has playoff implications, but that will be the case here, as Hamilton and Montreal find themselves tied for second place in the East Division behind Toronto. A victory will keep the team within striking distance of the Argonauts, but also give them a little bit of breathing room in avoiding third place. With Saskatchewan sitting at 5-4 in the West, they are a definite threat to cross-over and snag the No. 3 spot in the East under the CFL rules.
The Tiger-Cats rallied in the fourth quarter to take a victory away from Toronto last week thanks in large part to a ground game that gained 149 yards on 21 carries. Hamilton spread the ball around, with Don Jackson and Jamie Newman each getting seven carries and combining for 101 yards and a touchdown.
Hamilton’s rushing game took the pressure off Matt Shiltz, who threw the ball just 19 times in the game, completing 14 passes for 176 yards and a touchdown. Dane Evans is questionable for the Tiger-Cats, so getting Shiltz into games earlier this season is paying dividends.
The Alouettes are coming off a huge upset of Winnipeg, winning in overtime as 12-point underdogs. The Blue Bombers missed a pair of field goals in a game that was pretty close throughout.
Montreal quarterback Trevor Harris only threw for 213 yards, but no interceptions, and he should have a bit more success against Hamilton’s defense, which is allowing 26.2 points per game.

Tiger-Cats vs Alouettes Pick & Prediction
No doubt a tough spot for Montreal, but the facts that second place is on the line should be enough to get them to focus on this one. These two teams are No. 7 and No. 8 in rushing attempts, so the ball could be in the air plenty in this one, so there could be some points on the scoreboard.
