Lions vs Alouettes Betting Preview
Naturally, the big storyline here is Adams and how much playing time he’ll get for his new team. He was traded from Montreal to British Columbia last Wednesday and there are plenty of people who believe Adams was handled poorly by the Alouettes all season. Adams hasn’t said if he’s one of them, but you know there’s nothing he’d like more than to show Montreal they made the wrong choice. But will he be ready? Third-stringer Antonio Pipken took the majority of snaps Monday, but Adams has been a full participant in practice through the first three days of the week.

The Lions are a different team with Pipken under center, as he’s more of a runner than a thrower and he and Adams were teammates in Montreal in 2017-19. The Lions managed just one touchdown drive in their first game without Nathan Rourke, prompting the move to offer the Alouettes a first-rounder for Adams. Regardless of who plays, the Lions still have their defense, but if the offense is struggling, they’re unlikely to put up numbers like they did in the first half of the season.
Trevor Harris hasn’t been anything to get excited about as quarterback of Montreal, throwing 12 touchdowns and 10 interceptions, but the Alouettes are in the playoff battle despite their dismal 4-7 record, which is one of the advantages of playing in the East. The Alouettes are No. 6 in the league in total yards but are No. 4 in scoring, so they’re doing something right.
Montreal’s defense has been a sore spot, with the Alouettes No. 7 in total defense and No. 8 in scoring defense. The Alouettes are allowing 110 yards on the ground and a league worst 5.3 yards per rushing attempt.

Lions vs Alouettes Pick & Prediction
A tough game to try and predict without knowing what the Lions are planning to do at quarterback. British Columbia could give the ball to James Butler plenty to try and take advantage of Montreal’s problems stopping the run, although Butler has been in a bit of a rut his last three games.
This ties the highest total we’ve all season at 53.5 and that one turned out to be a 41-40 final, but don’t believe this one will see as many points, as the Lions break Adams into the line-up.
