Just a single game in the WNBA for Wednesday, as the Minnesota Lynx (5-7) make the trip to Atlanta to face the 5-7 Dream.
Minnesota at Atlanta Betting Odds
The Lynx are favored by 2 (-125) and the total on the game is 168, even though only a few sportsbooks have the game posted right now, as it looks like we’re going to see some sportsbooks post WNBA lines a little bit later.
Minnesota Lynx
The Lynx have been alternating wins and losses over their past six games and are coming off a split against the Dallas Wings in Dallas. The Lynx have five players averaging 10 points or more, so you would think they might have a better record than they do, especially considering Napheesa Collier and Sylvia Fowles are both going to be playing for the U.S. in the Olympics.
The Lynx average 81.4 points per game and allow 82.9, shooting 43% from the field and allowing 44%. The Lynx are one of the better foul shooting teams in the league, hitting 81% from the line.
Atlanta Dream
The Dream had a nice run but have come back to earth lately, winning just once in their last six games. One of those losses was an 86-84 setback at the hands of Minnesota, which started the downward spiral for the team. The Dream do have a couple of nice players, led by Tiffany Hayes and Courtney Williams, who are both scoring 17 points a game and Chennedy Carter, who is scoring 15.7. There’s a bit of a drop-off after that, however, and Atlanta needs the bench players to step up to be competitive.
In the previous matchup with the Lynx, Hayes had 23 points and Williams had 15, while Carter didn’t play. Atlanta did get a couple of good efforts from Crystal Bradford and Aari McDonald, but that wasn’t enough to match Collier’s 26 points.

Minnesota at Atlanta Pick
I’d like to see this one posted at a few more sportsbooks, but will have to make due with what we have. I have Minnesota winning 87-81, which is a slight edge to the Lynx and right on the total, but if I had to play this one, I’d go ahead and play the over. Both teams are in the top five in the league in pace and neither one really defends the 3-pointer very well, ranking No. 9 and No. 11 in the league. Tough game, but once again the only one of the schedule.
