NFC North rivals will go at it in Week 12 of the NFL season when the Minnesota Vikings visit the Chicago Bears. Minnesota is a four-point favorite going into this contest, while the total has been set at 40.5 points. With both of these teams heading in opposite directions this season, we look at the betting markets and make our NFL predictions for Vikings vs Bears.
Vikings Looking For Fourth Straight Win
After dropping a couple of games in a row, the Minnesota Vikings have bounced back nicely with three straight wins. The most recent of those wins was a 23-13 win on the road against the Tennessee Titans, in a game where the Vikings defense did a great job to stop the Titans short of the end zone for the most part. This week, Minnesota will look for a similar performance against a young quarterback, as they face the most recent number-one overall pick in Caleb Williams.
Bears Looking to Avoid Fifth Straight Loss
Chicago has dropped four straight games going into Week 12, with the most recent of those losses being the most painful. The Bears had a last-second field goal attempt blocked by the Packers, which would have won the game for the Bears had it been made. This week, Caleb Williams will look to build on a strong performance against the Packers, as Williams didn’t throw any interceptions against a Green Bay team that appears to be headed toward the playoffs.
Vikings vs Bears Best Bet
Chicago is at home for their third straight game here, but they are 0-2 in the first two games of this homestand. We will back the Vikings to hand their division rivals a third straight home loss, laying the points with Minnesota in this Vikings vs Bears matchup. Minnesota has allowed the fewest points of any team in the NFC and they will continue to impress on defense here.
