This game will be played at FedEx Forum at 7:30 PM ET on Tuesday, April 26, 2022.
Why Bet The Grizzlies:
✅ Despite this series being tied at 2-2, the Grizzlies have had a better offensive and defensive rating through four games. At home for a vital Game 5, Memphis should be able to take advantage of the fact that they have been better on both ends of the floor and should be able to cover as a favorite here.
✅ Desmond Bane has been playing incredible basketball as of late, and should be able to lift the Grizzlies to a 3-2 lead after tonight. Bane is coming off a performance where he led all scorers with 34 points, and he has helped to negate the struggles of Ja Morant throughout this series. A repeat performance from Bane will help Memphis take a 3-2 series lead with a cover.

✅ Minnesota shot 50% from three-point range in Game 4 and still barely won that game to even up the series. They have shot under 40% for the majority of the series aside from that game, and a natural regression in Game 5 will help the Grizzlies to give up fewer points and cover the spread in this contest.
Minnesota Timberwolves
The Minnesota Timberwolves have played spirited basketball over the first four games of this series to come into Game 5 tied at two games apiece. Minnesota got 33 points from Karl-Anthony Towns in Game 4 to propel them to a win. Now, the question is whether or not Towns can deliver for a second straight game to help the Timberwolves take a 3-2 lead on the road.
If Minnesota wants to set up a clinching game at home in Game 6, they will need to do a better job of slowing down Desmond Bane. Bane has been a better scorer than Ja Morant for most of this series, and his ability to hit perimeter shots has been the key to Memphis’ success. If Minnesota can’t stop him in Game 5, they could be facing elimination.
Memphis Grizzlies
The Memphis Grizzlies have had the hardest series of any top-two seed in the NBA Playoffs, as they are tied at two games apiece with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Memphis does not have any injury problems to deal with like the Phoenix Suns do, they are simply in a difficult series. For the Grizzlies to take the lead in the series, they are going to need to step up on the defensive end of the floor.
In their two wins in this series, the Grizzlies have allowed 95.5 points per game to the Timberwolves. In their two losses in this series, the Grizzlies have allowed 124.5 points per game. Which Grizzlies defense shows up for this game could determine who comes out of Game 5 with a 3-2 series lead.
