Heat vs Hawks Game 3 Betting Pick
This game will be played at 7:00 PM ET at State Farm Arena on Friday, April 22, 2022.
Why Bet The Hawks:
✅ The Heat have dominated this series so far, but the Hawks are a completely different team on their home floor than they are on the road. Atlanta has won two thirds of their home games this season, including their Play-In Tournament win over the Charlotte Hornets. They are 28-14 straight up at home, and split their two games against the Heat in Atlanta this season. The Hawks will get on the board in this series in this game.
✅ Trae Young can’t possibly be worse at home than he was in Miami in the first two games of this series. Young is 2/17 from three-point range through two games against the Heat, and will be better in Game 3 at home by default. Any improvement from Young on the perimeter will help the Hawks get a game here.

✅ Some regression is in order for the Heat here, as they got two outlier performances in the first two games of this series. They got a 9/10 shooting night from Duncan Robinson in Game 1, and a 45-point performance from Jimmy Butler in Game 2. Without one of those outlier performances in Game 3, the Heat will give a game back to the Hawks.
Miami Heat
Things could not have gone better for the Miami Heat in the first two games of this series against the Atlanta Hawks. Miami grabbed two double-digit victories on their home floor, sending the series to Atlanta with a 2-0 lead. But the Heat will know that they are in for a much more difficult task in Game 3 against a Hawks team that is so good on their home floor.
For Miami, continuing to stay attached to Trae Young on the perimeter will be the key to their success. They held Young to 2/17 shooting from three-point range in Miami, but Young could come back to life at home over the weekend if the Heat do not continue to give their all on every possession against him.
Atlanta Hawks
Games 1 and 2 did not go according to plan for the Atlanta Hawks, as they were beaten by double figures twice in a row by the Miami Heat. Atlanta has averaged 18.5 turnovers per game in this series so far, and will look to remedy their turnover woes against the Heat in Game 3. Fortunately for the Hawks, they are back in Atlanta, where they were one of the best home teams in the NBA this season.
In the 2021-2022 campaign, the Hawks have gone 28-14 on their home floor. They come into this game as the eighth seed against a one seed, but that home record still makes the Hawks an enticing bet in Game 3. Expect more from Trae Young in this game, and for a rowdy crowd in Atlanta to help the Hawks get over the hump for the first time in this series.
