Clippers vs Nuggets Betting Pick
This game will be played at Ball Arena at 10:00 PM ET on Tuesday, March 22, 2022.
Why Bet The Nuggets:
✅ Each one of the previous three games between LA and Denver was decided by three or fewer points. The previous one saw the Nuggets escape with a 130-128 overtime win on January 19. They failed to cover a big 9.5-point spread on the home court, but Denver seems capable of beating the Clippers by six or more this time around. The Nuggets, who have gone 2-4 SU and ATS in their last six games and 14-6 SU and 11-9 ATS over their last 20, outlasted their rivals by six or more in six of their previous seven victories. The Clippers, on the other side, have gone only 2-6 SU and 2-5-1 ATS in their last eight contests and 1-4 ATS in their previous five showings as underdogs. Since a 132-111 victory over the slumping Lakers on March 3, LA has scored only 107.2 points per 100 possessions through eight games.
✅ Nikola Jokic dominated LA in that overtime win at home, posting a triple-double of 49 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists. He should be a key factor once again, though Jokic and the Nuggets will have to improve on the defensive side of the ball. Still, Ivica Zubac, Marcus Morris, and Robert Covington will all struggle to defend the reigning MVP.

✅ Both Denver and LA hope to get back on the right track, and the Nuggets arguably have a bigger motive than their opponents, who’ll almost certainly finish as the No. 8 seed in the West. The Clippers are five games ahead of the No. 9 seed. They also trail the Nuggets and Timberwolves, who are tied for the sixth spot, by six and a half games.
Los Angeles Clippers
The Clippers are on a three-game losing streak following a heavy 121-92 defeat at the Utah Jazz last Friday. They shot only 36.0% from the field, tallying a paltry 34 first-half points while surrendering 71 in a return.
Over their previous eight outings, the Clippers have recorded the third-worst net rating in the NBA (-9.7), allowing 116.8 points per 100 possessions. They’ve played at the second-slowest pace in the league, averaging only 94.5 possessions per 48 minutes.
Denver Nuggets
The Nuggets opened their four-game homestand last Sunday, suffering a heavy 124-104 loss to the Boston Celtics. It was their third straight loss at Ball Arena, and the Nuggets looked awful. They made just 40.2% of their field goals while allowing the Celtics to shoot 57.3% from the field and 47.5% from beyond the arc (19-for-40).
Over their last eight showings, the Nuggets have had some serious defensive issues. They’ve scored 116.0 points per 100 possessions and yielded 117.5 in a return, registering 97.3 possessions per 48 minutes.
