Vinicius Salvador vs Daniel Da Silva Fight Preview
Vinicius Salvador is a fighter that has come into his own as a knockout artist in the smallest men’s weight class the UFC has to offer. After some struggles on the mat upwards of three years ago, Salvador has righted the ship and he is taking off. He is currently on a four fight winning streak, all of which have come by way of knock out inside of two rounds. Salvador goes in the cage to get the job done and is a fighter that refuses to take a back step. He presses forward with reckless abandon and goes and finds his finishes. Salvador throws extremely heavy and will once again have plenty of success in this matchup. He may run into issues as he progresses in level of competition, but that should be of little concern in this matchup.
Daniel Da Silva is a fighter that has had essentially zero success within the UFC. He has lost all three of his fights via finish, and is walking into a terrible spot once again. Da Silva does not have the dynamism in his striking to match what Salvador is going to bring. If we were to play devil’s advocate and try to identify a path to victory for Da Silva, it would be in the grappling realm later on in the fight. He would have to survive the beating he is going to take for a round and a half and then get his wrestling going. He would have an advantage on the mat, particularly if Salvador is no longer fresh. With that said, it is difficult to envision Da Silva finding a clean wrestling entry before the strikes of Salvador end his night, and his UFC tenure.
