Alex Pereira vs Bruno Silva Fight Odds
Alex Pereira -180 vs Bruno Silva
Fight is at 185 lbs and is -700 to end inside the distance.
If you want a striker’s delight, or even if you don’t, that is exactly what you are going to get to kick off the main card. Alex Pereira is an absolutely elite kickboxer making his second UFC walk. Pereira made the transition to MMA and is 34 years old, but is a very unique case. He is a wildly accomplished striker that has next level natural power combined with accuracy. Pereira even owns a kickboxing win via KO over champ Israel Adesanya in 2017. He is certainly not eager to let Adesanya forget that, as he made recent comments angling for a future fight. Pereira has already secured a KO in his UFC debut, and it is quite likely that number two is on the way.

Bruno Silva is a vet striker, and no stranger to finding finishes of his own. He has won all three of his UFC fights via KO and seven fights straight via KO. It has been an impressive run for him, and his wins have been well earned. That said we have long seen these types of streaks explode when the level of competition gets raised this significantly. That is going to be the case for Silva, as he even had a very real moment of worry in his most recent bout with Jordan Wright. Wright was essentially landing at will in the first minute of their fight and legitimately hurt Silva. The thing about Wright is that he reacts terribly to taking damage. As soon as Silva hit back with even a slightly stiff shot, Wright was done.
How The Fight Plays Out
In Pereira, Silva finds an opponent that will be even more precise. An opponent with even more power that will not let him off the hook once the damage begins. It would not be surprising to see Silva turn to wrestling once he realizes just how overmatched he is in the standup portion of this fight. That of course is if the fight is not over before he realizes it.
I believe we are going to see KO on the Pereira side. I also believe we will see a big jump in competition in his next fight. There is zero reason to bring him along slowly, as he has a striking skill set that can beat even the champ of the division. As for this fight, a KO is fully expected, but with a move from just -180 on the flat line to -150 on the ITD line, it is best to just err on the side of slight caution with the flat line.
Betting Pick: Pereira -180
