The Alabama Crimson Tide will take on the UConn Huskies in the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament on April 6, 2024 at 8:49 pm ET. According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the Huskies are favored by 11.5 points. The total for the game is set at 160.5, as we could see a high-scoring game between these offensive powerhouses.
Our best bet for this game is for UConn to cover the spread as a favorite in Arizona. UConn has won by double-digits in every NCAA Tournament game they have played in both this season and last season. While Alabama is excellent offensively, UConn has already shut down the best offensive team in college basketball in Illinois, which should set them up nicely to do the same against the Crimson Tide here.
Meanwhile, the offense of UConn has been a juggernaut throughout this tournament. The Huskies have shot over 45% from the field in all four of their games during this tournament so far, shooting over 50% in three of those games. Against an Alabama team whose defense has been suspect at times all year long, we do not expect UConn's offense to go through any significant droughts in this one.
Alabama deserves a ton of credit just for making it to the Final Four, as they had to upset a one-seed in North Carolina to get to this point. But this should be where the road ends for the Crimson Tide. We fully expect UConn to win big in this game and to set up a tantalizing national title game matchup with the winner of NC State vs Purdue.
