Lions vs Roughriders Betting Preview
British Columbia comes into this one on a high note, rallying past Calgary in the fourth quarter to beat the Stampeders 41-40 on a last-second field goal. Nathan Rourke looked like his old self in that one, throwing for 488 yards and two touchdowns, while rushing for two more scores, as the Lions gained 533 yards of total offense.
British Columbia did allow 40 points, but that can’t be entirely blamed on the defense, which allowed just 286 total yards. The Stampeders returned a kickoff for a touchdown and also returned an interception for another score.
Saskatchewan didn’t look too impressive in their win over Edmonton last week, as quarterback Cody Fajardo had an off week, throwing for just 130 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He did rush for 51 yards and two touchdowns, which you don’t really expect out of him at this point in his career.
The Roughriders are going to have to play better defensively than they did last week, especially at stopping the quarterback run. If Taylor Cornelius can gain 86 yards against you, Rourke is a threat to gain 100.

Lions vs Roughriders Pick & Prediction
This is the first of back-to-back games for these two teams and the Lions have a lot of momentum after last week. They also have the possibility of a bit of a letdown after their last-second victory over the Stampeders. The Roughriders may be guilty of looking ahead to this one a little bit last week, so I wouldn’t read too much into their lackluster effort and believe they’ll come to play in this one.
