Warriors vs Celtics Game 4 Betting Pick
This game will be played at TD Garden at 9:00 PM ET on Friday, June 10, 2022.
For the second time in the 2022 NBA Finals, the Boston Celtics have the lead, thanks to their victory in Game 3 on Wednesday. On Friday night, the Celtics will look to extend that lead, while the Warriors look to even the series for the second time after falling behind. In tonight’s NBA picks, we look at Warriors vs Celtics Game 4, in another game that will feel like a must-win contest for the Warriors.
Why Bet The Celtics:
✅ A lot has been made of the huge runs that the Warriors have made in the third quarters in this series, and understandably so. But the Celtics have outscored the Warriors by 40 points in the fourth quarters in this series, which has received significantly less attention. Expect the Celtics to continue to outplay the Warriors in the other three quarters of this game, and to outweigh whatever the Warriors do in quarter number three.
✅ Draymond Green is actively harming the Warriors on the floor at this point in this series. He has scored 15 points and has committed 15 fouls through three games, which is not a ratio that the Warriors want to see from one of the core members of their dynastic run in recent years. Green’s lack of quality on the defense end of the floor has been alarming, and will only help the Celtics here, as he’s never really been an offensive threat.

✅ Boston demolished the Warriors in the rebounding department in Game 3, and that should continue here in Game 4. The Celtics won the rebounding battle 47-31 on Wednesday. While the disparity should not be quite that sizable on Friday, the Celtics will win the battle on the boards again in Game 4, which will help them pick up another win on their home floor.
Golden State Warriors
The Golden State Warriors fell behind in these NBA Finals for the second time on Wednesday night in a 16-point loss to the Boston Celtics. Steph Curry and Klay Thompson played well for the Warriors in the losing effort, but the help for the Warriors was not there in the form of their role players. Only two players not named Curry or Thompson scored in double digits, with Jordan Poole contributing just 10 points and Andrew Wiggins chipping in 18 points.
Poole will certainly need to be more impactful on the offensive end of the floor for the Warriors to have a better chance in Game 4. But Draymond Green is the player who most needs to step up for Golden State. Green has fouled out in two of the three games of this series for the Warriors, and he has not been all that effective when he has been on the floor. That must change for Golden State to even this series up again.
Boston Celtics
It got interesting in the second half, but the Boston Celtics ran away with Game 3 of the NBA Finals in the fourth quarter to take a 2-1 series lead. They got a huge lift from Marcus Smart in that victory on Wednesday, as the Defensive Player of the Year scored 24 points to bolster the scoring of Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum. With a one-game lead for the second time in this series, the Celtics will look to extend that lead on Friday night, with a chance to go up 3-1 in the Finals.
If the Celtics are going to take a 3-1 lead in this series, they will need another big game from one of their role players. Tatum and Brown are always going to put up points for this Celtics team. But another big game from someone like Derrick White, Al Horford, or Marcus Smart could really help Boston distance itself from the Warriors before the series goes back to San Francisco for Game 5.
