Why Bet Du Plessis
✅ Dricus Du Plessis showed that he can truly put on a pace for three rounds in his most recent fight.
✅ Du Plessis is the superior wrestler and grappler, and will have that to fall back on if needed.
✅ Till will not bring the pace nor aggression in the stand up, and will be pressured and out volumed throughout this fight.

Dricus Du Plessis vs Darren Till Preview
Darren Till started his UFC career off in amazing fashion. He cut too much weight to get to welterweight, but he had fantastic early results. He went 5-0-1 over his first six fights in the promotion, earning him a title shot against Tyron Woodley. He was utterly dominated in that fight, and then finished by Masvidal, prompting the 2019 move up to middleweight. He won a very close fight against Kevlin Gastelum, but has been dominated by Derek Brunson and Robert Whittaker in two fights since.
The problems for Till are two fold. The first is that his power does not quite translate the same at 185 as it did at 170. A failure to starch opponents does not mesh well with a slow paced striking approach and a limited grappling skill set. Till’s wrestling and grappling does not stack up at the top of the middleweight division, no matter how many social media photos with Khamzat Chimaev get posted.
Dricus Du Plessis on the other hand has enjoyed nothing but success under the UFC banner. He is 3-0 in the promotion and has already been matched up with quite solid, if not elite opponents. His power and pressure were enough to finish his first two opponents. In his most recent matchup with Brad Tavarez, the highly durable and conditioned Tavarez gave Du Plessis a totally different test. Du Plessis showed us he can push through three hard rounds and keep his volume strong. While it was not the best showing, it answered questions we otherwise would not have known about Du Plessis.
Du Plessis is going to put an uncomfortable pace on Darren Till and pressure him throughout. Du Plessis will mix in takedowns and his approach will have looking like the absolutely superior fighter. The worry against Till is always a flash KO, and I think Du Plessis has no durability issues at this juncture of his career.
