The Western Conference Final is back in Las Vegas after the Dallas Stars got their first win of the series on Thursday. With Vegas holding onto a 3-1 lead in this series, they have a chance to close things out and move onto the Stanley Cup Final against the Florida Panthers on Saturday night. Below is my NHL betting pick for Stars vs Golden Knights Game 5 from Las Vegas.

Why Bet on the Golden Knights:
✅ Vegas is 6-2 at home in these playoffs, including two wins at home to start this series. Dallas, meanwhile, is two games below .500 on the road in the playoffs.
✅ Jamie Benn is still suspended for this game after getting a cross-checking penalty in Game 3. While the Stars managed to salvage a game at home without him, they will struggle on the road without him in Game 5.

Dallas Stars
Jason Robertson of the Dallas Stars was the star of Game 4 of the Western Conference Final, scoring two goals to help keep the Stars’ season alive. But the Stars are still trailing 3-1 in this series, and will be without one of their most influential players in Jamie Benn once again on Saturday night, as they look to avoid elimination for a second time.
It is worth noting that, while the Stars trail 3-1 in this series, they have shown a ton of fight throughout this best of seven affair. They have taken the Golden Knights to overtime in three of the four games in this series. They will need every bit of the grit they have shown in this series already if they want to give themselves a chance to send this series back to Dallas.
Vegas Golden Knights
The Vegas Golden Knights secured a split of the two games in Dallas in Games 3 and 4, taking a 3-1 series lead over the Dallas Stars. That was good enough to move them to within one win of the Stanley Cup Final, which the Knights will look to get in order to move on to face the Florida Panthers in the final series of the 2022-23 NHL season.
For Vegas, scoring first will once again be a key to their success in Game 5. While it did not produce a win in Game 4, scoring first gave the Knights the advantage for yet another game on Thursday. If Vegas can score first in front of their home crowd on Saturday, the Stars may not be able to recover.
