- We like Kansas City to cover the spread in this game, so it stands to reason that we like them to win on the moneyline as well.
- Kansas City has the experience of winning multiple Super Bowls with their current nucleus, while their opposition could suffer from jitters on this stage.
Super Bowl LVIII is set, as the Kansas City Chiefs will face off with the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas. While the point spread or the total may be more popular betting markets for this game, the moneyline is worth taking a look at as well. Here, we break down the 49ers vs Chiefs moneyline market as the final game of the NFL season approaches.
Kansas City Chiefs
Going into Super Bowl LVIII, the Kansas City Chiefs could not have looked more impressive. They beat the Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills, and Baltimore Ravens to win the AFC championship, getting to a fourth Super Bowl in six seasons with Patrick Mahomes as their starting quarterback. The Chiefs may be the best option for those compelled to play the moneyline market, with their extensive experience being a big reason for that.
For the Chiefs, the pressure of this stage should not be nearly as big a concern as it will be for their opponent, which factors heavily into this Super Bowl 58 prediction. Kansas City has played in the Super Bowl three times over the last five seasons, winning it twice, with the lone loss coming against the great Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That will be a huge boost for them as they look to grab another Lombardi Trophy.
San Francisco 49ers
There were times in both of the San Francisco 49ers’ playoff games this postseason that they did not look like they would win on the moneyline despite being heavy favorites. But the 49ers played brilliantly in the second halves of their games against the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions to reach the Super Bowl. Now the Niners are just one outright win away from cashing in as Super Bowl champions.
This will be another game where 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy will be looked at as the second-best quarterback in a big game for San Francisco. And while there is little debate that he can stack up with Patrick Mahomes all-time, Purdy does a great job of making use of all of his weapons. That is all he needs to do to lead his team to a win over the Chiefs and to cement his legacy as more than just a game manager.
