Jets Look to Derail Rivals
Going into this season, NFL betting odds had the New York Jets as a team with some of the best odds in the AFC to make it to the Super Bowl. But the Jets have had a disastrous season, going just 4-11 so far this year and firing head coach Robert Saleh. Now the Jets are just playing out the rest of their season hoping to find some semblance of pride, though they could have a rough afternoon against an elite Bills team.
One bright side for the Jets recently has been the establishment of the connection between quarterback Aaron Rodgers and wide receiver Davante Adams. Adams has scored a touchdown or more in four straight games for the Jets. But the rest of the Jets have not been able to take advantage of the reunion between Rodgers and Adams as this team is one of the worst the NFL has to offer in 2024.
Bills Attempt to Remain Perfect At Home
The Buffalo Bills beat the New England Patriots in Week 16 of the regular season to improve to 12-3 on the season. Buffalo improved to 7-0 at home on the season in that win, one in which the Bills had to come back from a 14-0 first half deficit. This week, the health of Josh Allen will be a major focal point for the Bills, as Allen suffered a hand injury against the Patriots that could make him less effective this week against the Jets.
Allen threw an interception against the Patriots, his first interception since November 17 against the Chiefs. As long as those turnovers don’t become a regular occurrence for Allen and the Bills, they should be fine in this game. But if Allen’s hand is compromised for this game, and those turnovers creep back in, this game could be closer than anticipated.
Jets vs Bills Prediction
We are going to take the points with the underdog in Sunday’s Jets vs Bills contest from Highmark Stadium. While the Bills should win this game and improve to 13-3 on the season, we don’t expect it to be as straightforward as the betting line would suggest. Look for the Jets to keep this game within a touchdown or so, even if Allen outclasses Rodgers when all is said and done.
