The Jacksonville Jaguars will travel to Glendale on Sunday to face the Arizona Cardinals in Week 12 of the NFL season. The Jaguars are sitting at 6–4 and are still very much in the playoff conversation in the AFC. The Cardinals are 3–7 and are limping through the second half of the season. Can the Jags get a second win in a row, or will the Cardinals put a dent in their playoff hopes? Continue reading to get my Jaguars vs Cardinals prediction for Sunday.

Key Storylines
One major storyline is Arizona’s injury issues in the backfield. Running back Emari Demercado is expected to miss this game due to a high-ankle sprain, which is a big blow for their rushing attack. They are also set to be without Kyler Murray due to injury. Jacksonville’s defense performed well last week, holding the Los Angeles Chargers to just six points. They will look for a repeat performance in this game on the road.
Arizona has shown flashes with Jacoby Brissett at quarterback. He’s been efficient, taking care of the ball while getting the ball into his playmakers’ hands. Tight end Trey McBride remains a focal point of the Cardinals’ offense, especially in the red zone. But they are dealing with multiple injuries at the running back position and could have problems establishing the run to make things easier on the passing game.
Quarterback Play
Trevor Lawrence leads the Jaguars’ offense and has thrown for 2,151 yards so far in 2025, with 11 touchdowns and 8 interceptions. He’s shown the ability to make big plays and lead late-game drives. He can tuck the ball and pick up clutch yards on the ground in critical moments as well.
Veteran Jacoby Brissett has been holding down the fort in Kyler Murray’s absence for the Cardinals. He’s completed 66.7% of his passes with 10 touchdown passes against just 3 interceptions. But Brissett’s ceiling may be limited if Jacksonville’s defense plays the way it did last time out.

Final Thoughts
The Jaguars are playing better football going into this game. But I’m not brave enough to lay points with the Jags on the road here. I think Brissett is more stable at quarterback than Kyler Murray, even if Murray is better at generating explosive plays. I’ll take the points with the home dog in this matchup in what should be a tight game that could cost the Jags dearly in the race to make the playoffs in the AFC.
