The Dallas Cowboys come into Week 18 with plenty to play for, even though they have already secured a spot in the playoffs. They can win the NFC East with a win over the Commanders, along with an Eagles loss against the Giants. Furthermore, they can claim the number one seed in the NFC with those two results, plus a 49ers loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
Focusing on the Cowboys’ task at hand, the key to this game will be taking away the Commanders’ running game. Brian Robinson Jr. has been excellent since returning for Washington. If Dallas can make things tough on Robinson, and force Carson Wentz to throw the ball often, Dallas could hold up its end of the bargain.

The Washington Commanders‘ season is going to end after this game, as they have been eliminated from playoff contention. But they will look to finish this season on a high note at home and spoil the Cowboys’ chances of winning the NFC East this week. For that to happen, the Commanders will need Carson Wentz to play better football.
Wentz is coming off of a performance where he threw zero touchdown passes and three interceptions in a crushing loss to the Cleveland Browns. That game encapsulated what has been a disappointing season for Wentz, who has just 11 touchdowns to nine picks on the year. After this game, the Commanders will need to evaluate whether or not Wentz should be their quarterback going forward.
