Week 17 gets underway on Thursday night with the Dallas Cowboys visiting the Tennessee Titans. Oddly enough, both the 7-8 Titans and 11-4 Cowboys are in the thick of the playoff mix in their respective conferences. Even with the playoff realities for both teams, the visiting Cowboys are a large -12.5 point favorite. The total is a small one, set at 39.5.

Why Bet Prescott To Throw A Pick
✅ Let’s address the elephant in the room at the onset. Yes the Cowboys are 12.5 point favorites in a low total game. This prop wager is not correlative with the betting line, and that is understood. Given the context of Malik Willis remaining under center for the Titans and Derrick Henry listed as doubtful, it is fair to wonder just how much the Cowboys will be forced to throw.
Even though the game script expectations work against this prop, we should also be hyper aware of just how reckless Dak has been with the football of late. He has thrown at least one interception five straight games and in six of seven. He has thrown 10 interceptions in that span.
✅ The Titans defense, while likely to be put in a poor spot by the offense, very well could keep the team somewhat competitive on Thursday night. They have allowed 20 or fewer points in 10 of their last 12 games. They have also been opportunistic when it comes to notching interceptions, particularly at home. They have three interceptions in the last two games, and those takeaways have been consistent at home. They have at least one interception in five of seven home games.
The pickem neighborhood price tag on a player that has thrown so many picks of late is not something we can ignore, even with the expectation that the Cowboys notch a fairly easy win.

Dallas Cowboys
The 11-4 Cowboys are technically still alive to win the NFC East, but it is quite a longshot scenario. They trail the Eagles by two games with two weeks left in the season. They have clinched a Wild Card spot, so this is likely the last game in which we see starters play meaningful snaps before the playoffs. The Cowboys will have a full understanding of what is needed to steal the division after this week.
Tennessee Titans
The Titans are just 7-8 and likely looking at a loss this week. With that said, that hilariously does not dash their playoff hopes. They are currently in a tie atop the AFC South with the Jaguars. With a week 18 matchup with the Jaguars on the horizon, this game is the less important of their two remaining games.
