The Cincinnati Bengals will visit the Baltimore Ravens in an AFC North rivalry game on Thanksgiving night this Thursday. Baltimore enters this week in first place in the division and they will try to move closer to a playoff berth with a win over a Bengals team that could look a lot different offensively this week than they have in recent weeks. Before kickoff from Baltimore, I’ll break this matchup down from all angles and give you my Bengals vs Ravens prediction.

Key Storylines
The biggest storyline going into this game is Joe Burrow’s potential return. After undergoing surgery to remedy a turf toe injury, all signs indicate he could be back for Thanksgiving. That could provide a major spark for Cincinnati on offense, but how sharp will he be on short rest? That remains to be seen against a Baltimore team that has everything to play for late in the regular season.
Baltimore comes into this week on a five-game winning streak and they have benefitted greatly from the return of Lamar Jackson from injury. Baltimore is 6-5 going into this contest and they have bounced all the way back from a 1-5 start. The Bengals have lost four games in a row and they will try to end their recent slide to salvage what’s left of their season.
Quarterback Play
The quarterback picture for Cincinnati is murky. Starting QB Joe Burrow has been sidelined with a turf-toe injury, though reports suggest he could make his comeback in this very game. If he plays his mobility and his rhythm with his skill position players will be something to watch in this game. If Burrow can’t play this week, we could see Jake Browning after Joe Flacco sustained an injury in Week 12.
Lamar Jackson has been efficient this year, with 15 touchdown passes to just 3 interceptions. He and Derrick Henry are a major threat on the ground as well and we should see the Bengals’ defense struggle to slow down the Ravens on multiple fronts.
Betting Trends
- Both of these teams are 4-7 against the spread so far this season.
- Both teams have gone 7-4 to the over heading into Week 13.
- The Bengals are 1-4 on the road this year.
- Baltimore is 3-3 at home this season.
Bengals vs Ravens Model Projection
Score Projection: Bengals 24 – Ravens 31
Win Probability: Ravens 75%, Bengals 25%
Final Thoughts
My top play in the betting markets for this game is for the Bengals and Ravens to combine to go over the total in Maryland. If Burrow is able to come back, we should see the total tick up further before kickoff. Either way, we should see plenty of points in this matchup that will go a long way in determining the outcome of the AFC North race.
