The Cal Golden Bears may be the worst Power 5 college basketball program going right now. Despite valiant efforts from teams like Louisville to take that spot from them, Cal delivered another horrid regular season, going 3-28 overall and 2-18 in conference play. Here, their season is likely to come to an end in the first round of the Pac-12 Tournament.
For Cal, the question in this and every game is where their offense is going to come from. They average 58.5 points per game, and do not have a player averaging double figures on the year. As a result, it is hard to see their stay in Las Vegas lasting beyond Wednesday.
Washington State Cougars
The Washington State Cougars come into Wednesday’s action at 16-15 overall and 11-9 in Pac-12 competition. While these numbers are by no means dazzling, the fact that they are simply a Division I basketball team puts them in a good position to beat Cal in this first round matchup.
